LAHORE - The Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) selection committee on Thursday proposed 30 players for awarding of central contracts for the new year. The central contracts comprise of issues such as monthly payments, what category the player is awarded and sty pins for the coming tours. These contracts are renewed at the beginning of each year as they are bound to expire on December 31. Sources say that the selection committee headed by Chief Selector Mohsin Khan has handed over the list of players to the board. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ijaz Butt, Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed and Director Operations Zakir Khan will take the final decision about the list of players to award them their central contracts. Shoaib Malik and Danish Kaneria were not considered due to the still awaiting clearance by the PCB's integrity committee while M Yousaf contract is still under scrutiny and question. Salman Butt, M Aamir and M Asif will only be considered once the ICC gives its verdict on the spot fixing case.
