Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday said that the Army and the government jointly managed to foil the plan to disintegrate the country and claimed that the law and order situation in Balochistan has been improved. Briefing the media here, the minister stated, We have got the blue print of the disintegration plan, but we managed to foil it. I am ready to give an in-camera briefing to the Parliament, Rehman said and added that no compromise can be made on the sovereignty of the country. The minister said that desecration of the national flag is intolerable. He ruled out any amendment in the blasphemy laws, saying that there should be no division in terms of the religion inside the country. When asked about the Lahore killings by a US citizen, he said that investigations are underway and the CM Punjab and authorities concerned are making efforts to get to the truth.
