LAHORE - Democratic and ideological Pakistan is dream of the Kashmiris, and the Pakistani rulers should fulfil their responsibilities by ignoring the US and the Indian agendas. Renowned Kashmiri leader and AJK Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Abdur Rasheed Turabi expressed there views while addressing at TheNation forum on Thursday. He was accompanied by AJK JI leaders Ijaz Ahmad Kiyani and Ihsanullah. Mr Turabi said notwithstanding state terrorism in Kashmir, the freedom movement was at its peak and every child was fighting for his rights. Condemning the worst human rights violation, he said the Indian forces had killed 120 people during the last two months in the occupied Kashmir. The JI leader said Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Shakeel Shah were detained in their homes and they were not even allowed to offer Friday prayers. While expressing his serious concern over the situation in Kashmir, he said the Pakistani rules had badly failed in playing their due role for the rights of the Kashmiri people, whereas the Amnesty International and the Asia Watch had showed their reservations over killings in the occupied valley. Commenting on President Zardaris recent foreign visit, Mr Turabi said he kempt mum about the Kashmir issue, as he was following Musharraf regimes policy. The JI leader demanded of Pakistan to call a conference of Islamic countries and the Security Council for sending a clear message to the world powers that they were with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for freedom. He also appealed all the Pakistan leaders to observe February 6 by changing Musharrafs polices instead of holding traditional ceremonies on the day.
