LAHORE An 18-year-old youth on Thursday killed when a bullet was accidentally fired from his pistol during a firing rehearsal in Misri Shah police limits on Thursday. Police said the deceased identified as Waqar Ahmed, son of Mushtaq Ahmed, was the resident of Faiz Bagh. They claimed that he was holding the pistol when it accidentally fired went off resultantly he suffered a bullet in his head. The boy died on the spot but we confirmed his death when the victims family shifted him to the hospital, the doctor said. Police handed over the body to his heirs after completing necessary medicolegal formalities. Further investigations were underway. Man dies in jail: A 40-year-old prisoner of Camp Jail died under mysterious circumstances in Shadman police precincts on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Amjad, resident of Baghanpura. Police said he was arrested on the charges of possessing illegal sophisticated weapons. They further said the deceased was suffering from a serious disease and was shifted to a nearby hospital here on Thursday after he fell unconscious in the barracks. Police shifted the dead body to the City morgue for autopsy.
