LAHORE - The Model Town CIA Police Monday claimed to have arrested the accused of a blind murder reported in Harbanspura Police limits three years ago.
A spokesman said on the directives of Lahore CCPO, CIA SP Umar Virk formed Model Town CIA DSP Saleem Mukhtar Butt-led team that summoned accused Shehzad, brother-in-law of decease Baqir, and restarted probe. The spokesman said: “The accused father-of-two had an affair with the wife of Baqir.
Annoyed with him over the affair, his wife Shazia took the kids to her brothers’ home. Baqir’s wife Saima went to her parents’ home after he warned her over the affair.”  He added: “Shehzad along with his accomplice shot and injured Baqir. After getting well, Baqir went to in-laws to woo his wife but a scuffle erupted as he saw Shehzad there.” 
Later, the spokesman said, in connivance with Saima and her family, Shehzad stifled to death Baqir by a pillow and threw the body into the canal near Harbanspura.
