Tattered moral fabric

Media has played a commendable role in illuminating the issue of bad meat that is being sold across the country by people who have no conscience. These butchers have not only been selling the meat of haram animals but have also sold the meat of dead animals which can pose serious health problems. When arrested and interrogated, these butchers, without any resentment justified their act as they were poor.
Their attitude reflects the weak moral fabric of our society. It seems as if we have taken the lead in health terrorism as such ill practices have never been seen anywhere else in the world. The government must not ignore this issue and a law regarding health terrorism must be passed to save the masses.
