LAHORE - Workers of Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasool Allah Saturday gathered in front of Punjab Assembly to court arrest to record their protest against PML-N government for its move to tone down the law on the finality of the prophethood.

Led by head of his own faction of TLYR, Dr Ashraf Asif Jalali, they were not more than 200 and they left the venue of the protest after three hours when no government agency reached there to arrest them. Dr Jalali said the TLYR’s “fill the jails movement” will continue till the acceptance of their demands. “We want the names of the culprits behind the changing of Khatm-e-Nabowat [finality of prophet-hood] be exposed and they sent behind the bars,” he said while talking to reports. Dr Jalali announced the TLYR followers will also gather in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore on Sunday (today) for house arrest. He said the movement will gradually enhanced in all cities.
