KASUR-Mudassir who had been shot dead in an alleged shootout with police on Feb 25, 2017 for killing a minor girl after rape has proved to be innocent with the arrest and DNA examination of Zainab's murderer.
Jameela Bibi, mother of Mudassir, has filed a petition in the court of Additional District And Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal against former Kasur DPO Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, DSP Saddr Circle Mirza Arif Rasheed and Kasur Saddr SHO Muhammad Younus.
She stated in the petition that Eman Fatima, 5, daughter of Tawaseen and resident of Peruwala Road locality was abducted, strangled after rape and was thrown in an under-construction house by unidentified suspect(s). She alleged that the police arrested her son Mudassir very next day of the incident, accusing him of the murder of the girl.
She alleged that the police shot her son dead in a fake encounter and implicated his brother Adnan and an unknown person Ashiq in a fake case, accusing them of killing Mudassir. The police had also taken cousins of Mudassir into custody and threatened their families to kill them. "We assured the police of not pursuing legal action at which the police forcefully got our signatures on some documents and released the in-custody persons," the petition said.
