Decision to privatise Pak Post condemned

ISLAMABAD (APP) - All Pakistan Postal Circles and Regional Offices Employees Union has condemned the decision of the government to privatise Postal Department and said that it will be a great economic loss for the employees of the department. A meeting of All Pakistan Postal Circles and Regional Offices Employees Union held here on Monday under the chairmanship of Chaudhry Muhammad Khan which was also attended by Central Chief Organiser of the Union Raja Khalid Mahmood passed a resolution unanimously to condemn the decision of privatization of Postal Department. Addressing the meeting, Chief Organizer of the Union Raja Khalid Mahmood and General Secretary Raja Nisar Ahmed said the decision of privatization of the postal department by the democratic and peoples government was an attempt to curb economic sanctions on the employees of the department. They said Pakistan Peoples Party has the credit to fight for the rights of the workers and always took decisions for the empowerment of the labourers, therefore, the employees of the postal department now looking towards the PPP government to take decision in favour of the workers and not against them.
