NANKANA SAHIB - The District Price Control Committee (DPCC) met here with DCO Hassan Iqbal in the chair to fix the prices of essential commodities in the markets as well as Ramazan bazaars. ADC Mian Jameel Ahmed, AC Nabeela Irfan, EDO Agriculture Mashkoor Ahmed, DO Labour Imran Tipu, Market committee administrator Dr Islam, the DO Health and representatives of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran from Sangla Hill, Shah Kot, Mandi Fiazabad, Morkhunda, Warbuton and Nankana participated in the meeting. On the occasion, the DCO warned that the practice of overcharging and adulteration would not be tolerated and stern punitive action would be taken against the violators. DPCC Secretary, DO E&IP Shafique Tariq along with the representatives of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran and the DCO fixed the prices for essential commodities like beef Rs200 & Rs190, mutton Rs380 & Rs370, Daal Masoor Rs74 & Rs72, Daal Mong (polish) Rs118 & Rs116, daal Chana Rs64& Rs62, black Chana (local) Rs62 & Rs58, Rice Rs77 & Rs75, milk Rs42, Yougurt Rs48 per kg, Roti Rs04 etc for general markets and Ramazan bazaars respectively. During the meeting, Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran President Sh Tariq and Vice President Ch Arif Rustom, on behalf of the trading community. , offered discount in prices of various foodstuffs from Rs2 up to Rs10 per kg voluntarily keeping in view the respect of the Holy month of Ramazan.
