OUR STAFF REPORTER NANKANA SAHIB - Following the directive of the Punjab government Assistant Commissioner Nabeela Irfan launched an operation against adulteration. She conducted raids with the assistance of the police and the revenue department officials at various restaurants, shops of sweets & Bakers, here the other day. During checking, she fined different restaurants owners for not maintaining hygienic conditions and selling sub-standard food and adulteration. She fined including Rs20,000 to Golden restaurant, Rs.10,000 to Rehmat Hotel (vegetable market) Rs.5,000 to City Broast hotel (grain market), Rs.20,000 to Raheem sweets, Rs.5,000 to Rahat Baker Rs10,000 to Nirala sweets and Rs.5.000 to Qazi sweets. Moreover, samples of different food items were also taken from the hotels and other food outlets for laboratory test.
