FAISALABAD - Ehtram-e-Ramzan Ordinance will be implemented in letter and spirit in the district to maintain the sanctity of holy month of Ramazan. This was stated by DCO Naseem Sadiq while chairing a meeting to review the Ramazan arrangements in the district. He directed the ACs and Special Price Control Magistrates to perform their duties with responsibility to check the prices of essential commodities including implementation of Ordinance and no one should be allowed to eat/drink on public places openly. He directed that the hotels/restaurants/canteens at markets should remain closed during the fasting timings except at hospitals/general bus stands/railway stations/schools of little children as relaxation provided under Ordinance. He directed that immediate legal action should be taken against the violators of Ehrtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance. He asked the ACs to check the security arrangements at mosques and other worship places personally and any security loophole was found, it should be taken in the notice of local police authorities for the rectification without delay. The DCO said that the Iftaar/Sehar Dastarkhwans should be arranged throughout the district with the cooperation of local philanthropists for seeking the blessings of Allah Almighty in Ramazan. He maintained that the arrangements for daily Ramazan bazaars should be well-organised and uninterrupted supply of essential items should be ensured to make these bazaars beneficial for the consumers. He directed that the distribution of subsidized flour in the district should be transparent and the entire record of sale of subsidized flour should be kept in order. He warned that no lethargy, carelessness and dereliction of duty would not be tolerated regarding implementation of Ramazan plan.
