Our Staff reporter FAISALABAD - The monthly meeting to review the law and order situation and pace of development work in the district was held here at DCOs Office committee room under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain. The meeting was attended by MPAs Kh Islam, Ch Shafiq Gujjar, Rai Ejaz Hussain Kharal, Juel Sahutra, Anjum Safdar, Afshan Farooq and Ghazal Rana. During the meeting DCO Naseem Sadiq and SSP (Investigations) Mujahid Akbar Khan apprised the parliamentarian of the crime situation and implementation of development plan. Addressing the meeting Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain said that close coordination among the divisional, district and police authorities had been made strengthened for maintaining the law and order situation. He said that the support of parliamentarian was also of great significant for keeping the law and order situation under control. He informed that 100 percent use of available funds had been ensured for completing the uplift projects of public welfare without any delay and efforts of DCO Naseem Sadiq in this regard was very much appreciable. He said that the anti-encroachment campaign in Faisalabad was going on successfully with the support of political leadership which had been appreciated by the Punjab CM and termed it as role model for the other districts. DCO Naseem Sadiq informed the meeting about the Ramazan arrangements and said that as many as 17 daily Ramazan bazaars had been set up in the district for providing quality essential goods to the consumers on concessionary rates during the holy month of Ramazan. He also briefed about the distribution plan of the subsidized flour under CMs Ramzan Package and said that grant of Rs500 million development package was expected from the Punjab CM which would be utilized for the construction and improvement of the different important roads. The parliamentarian stressed the need for vigorous operations against the drug peddlers, 100 percent recovery of stolen property from the arrested accused and improvement of over all control of crime in the district. They said that the standard of investigation of the case should be raised besides taking stern departmental action against the corrupt officials. The parliamentarian expressed their satisfaction over the pace of developmental work and appreciated the administrative efforts of DCO Naseem Sadiq for completing the projects of beautification of the city and initiating the uplift projects of public relief.
