In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani was again placed under house arrest after his return from New Delhi where he met Pakistans Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar. He was immediately arrested after he landed at Srinagar airport; Station House Officer (SHO) of Humhama police station in Budgam put him in a police jeep, said the spokesman of the forum patronised by Syed Ali Gilani. However, he was later taken to his Hyderpora residence where he was put under house arrest, the spokesman added. He said a large number of paramilitary forces and police personnel remained deployed outside Giani's house and he was informed that he couldnt move till further order. Meanwhile, the Indian authorities continued to place All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) senior leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah under house arrest for the seventh consecutive day.
