ISLAMABAD - Levelling serious allegations on the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) MNA for illegally occupying the hospital land, President Joint Christian Action Committee (JCAC) Akram Waqar Gill lambasted the biased attitude of district administration, which, according to him, was favouring the area MNA.
Addressing a press conference here at National Press Club Islamabad, PJCA President said that they were patriots like any other Pakistani but regretted the maltreatment at the hands of authorities, which, according to him, was in complete negation to the dictates of the founder of the country Quaid-I-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
The emotionally charged Akram Waqar Gill also appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of this highhandedness on part of a parliamentarian and help get their land freed from his alleged illegal occupation.
He further said that the DPO and CPO Rawalpindi Division were not coming to their help and charged that actually they were hands in glove with the area MNA.
To a question he informed that the land in question actually belonged to Christian community and they were intending to build Saint Joseph Free hospital for facilitate the poor who could not afford treatment in private hospitals.
Levelling direct allegation on area MNA Malik Abrar, the PJCA president said that he (MNA) got illegal possession on the piece of land and wanted to construct some private building at the site.
Concerned authorities were not cooperating with us since couple of months had been passed. Akram Waqar Gill said that we need justice and will do protest against the occupation of the land.
Moreover Joint Christian Action Committee made an appeal to Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudary and Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the issue and provide them justice so that the Christian community could complete its project, which is especially for the poor and needy people of Pakistan.
