MPA Anees Qureshi has said the PML-N wanted to make Pakistan a true Islamic welfare state adding that bridging the gap between the haves and have-nots was a mission of the PML-N leadership.

He said the philanthropists who had dedicated their lives for the welfare of the weaker segment of the society were the real followers of Islam and real Pakistanis. Talking to the media, he said Nawaz Sharif had devoted his life for stability of democracy in Pakistan.

“We have devised a mechanism of accountability of politicians by the public. The people rejected the Q-League through their votes in 2008 while the PPP was totally rejected by the people of Pakistan in 2013 due to their misdeeds. If the PML-N does not succeed to solve the national issues in the next five years, it will also face the same fate. Poverty, diseases, unemployment and corruption are the real problems of Pakistan. These issues cause price hike and loadshedding,” he noted.

He stressed the need for promoting a culture of volunteerism in Pakistan through encouraging the youth having a passion for the welfare of weaker segments of the society.

The government will showcase brilliance and talent of Pakistani youth all over the world in this respect, he added. He said he would make Kot Radha Kishan tehsil a model, and the Rural Health Centre will be upgraded to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where every facility would be provided for the masses. Later, he visited a Ramazan bazzar and expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements.
