ANP, JUI-F agree on seat adjustment on NA-262

QUETTA - Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) have decided to field a joint candidate on NA-262 in by-elections.
ANP’s Asghar Khan Achakzai withdrew his candidature in favour of JUI-F’s Hafiz Sher Ali and according to the agreement JUI-F would support ANP’s candidate in next election.
Addressing a press conference at the Opposition Chamber in Balochistan Assembly here on Saturday, Maulana Abdul Wasay said both parties had always tried to strengthen democracy and their alliance would continue in future.
He said the opposition was concerned over delay in provincial cabinet formation.
“Some elements are busy in conspiring against the province, therefore, cabinet could not be formed in the caretaker government and the same elements are causing hurdles for the present setup,” he added.
Maulana Wasay who is the opposition leader in the provincial assembly said there was no writ of government in Balochistan for the last one year rather sometimes there was rule of Magsi, Barozai and Dr Abdul Malik Baloch.
On the occasion, ANP leader Engineer Zamrak Achakzai alleged that a cabinet could not be formed because the coalition members were at a deadlock over lucrative portfolios.
He further said that the poor law and order situation in the province had caused problems for the people but the parties in government were busy in achieving their own interests. Other members of both the parties including ANP’s acting president in the province Obaid Ullah Abid and Hafiz Sher Ali of JUI were also present at the conference.
