LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed that foolproof security arrangements should be made on the occasions of Jumatul Wida, Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (r.a), and Eidul-Fitr.

“Law enforcement agencies will be fully alert for ensuring peace and protection of people’s life,” he remarked. The CM directed to constitute a cabinet committee headed by Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan to review the security arrangements on the occasions. He said the committee would visit entire province and review the security arrangements made by police and district administration.  

He was presiding over a meeting for reviewing the law and order situation in the province here on Saturday which was attended by Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Environment Col (r) Shuja Khanzada, chief secretary, Punjab IG, home secretaries and senior officers of departments concerned.
