Three persons including a prayers leader went missing from a mosque of Al-Hamd Town here.
Hafiz Mohsin Sher is a resident of Lakhnewala village and his services were acquired by residents of Al-hamad Town for leading Traveeh prayers. It is further learnt that two persons from Swat were residing in the locality in a rented house.
One of them was serving as Imam Masjid while other worked as his assistant. On the night of the occurrence after Traveeh prayers, the three persons stayed in the mosque. Next morning, the residents found them missing. The residents reported the police for registration of a case. When police showed reluctance, the residents filed a writ petition. Meanwhile, the relatives of Mohsin took out a protest rally in front of Press Club against the police for not registering a case.
They said law-enforcement agencies had lifted them and appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan to take a suo moto notice of the incident for recovery of the missing persons.
Bandits sweep house: Five bandits took away gold ornaments, cash and other valuables worth more than Rs4 million here the other night.
As per detail, the culprits came through rooftop by scaling walls where owner of the house namely Javed was asleep while rest of the family members were asleep in the house yard. They awakened Javed at gunpoint and brought him down.
They took keys of the house from him and unlocked the rooms where they locked all the family members. Thereafter the bandits searched the house and collected gold ornaments and other valuables worth amounting to Rs3.3 million and cash amounting to Rs210,000, claimed Javed. On information, the Saddr Police reached the spot and started investigation.
