LAHORE - National ladies tennis champion Ushna Suhail lost to her more experienced Belgian opponent Ferison Granshict 1-6, 1-6 in the quarterfinals of Volvo Tour De Lusthoven Tournament in Arendonk, Belgium. Talking to this scribe on Saturday, Ushna’s parents said: “Ushna has been striving to earn good name for the country at international level. She has been getting training in Belgium these days and playing their local and national tennis tournaments to gain maximum international exposure. Belgium is considered as one of the best countries which are producing world class ladies tennis players. In the quarterfinal, the Belgian player played superb tennis and did now allow the Pakistani to settle in the match. Despite long rallies and deuces in many games, Ushna lost in the one-sided contest. –Staff Reporter
