The Pakistan United Christian Movement has expressed grief over the sad demise of veteran journalist and Editor of Nawa-i-Waqt Group Majid Nizami.

The country has been deprived of the national asset, said Albert David, the PUCM president, in a message of condolence conveyed to the bereaved family and disseminated to the media. Mr Nizami was an institution, the PUCM chairman said. David continued that Mr Nizami was a man of principles and his commitment towards the ideology of Pakistan and especially his stance on the Kashmir issue could not be questioned.

He promoted true values of journalism in his life. “Many journalists are influenced by his character and values,” David said. “We express our grief over the death with his family and members of Nawa-i-Waqt Group at this difficult time.”
