Riyadh- The Shawwal moon has spotted in the night skies of Middle East as Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated in Middle East and Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia on today.

Muslims around the world were awaited an official announcement from Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam which announced Eid today.

Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan. The moon sighting committee in Saudi Arabia met on Sunday to witness the moon.

Iraq’s Grand Mufti Rafi al-Rifai announced Sunday that Eid Al-Fitr would begin on Monday.People of Gaza under aggression of Israel would also observe Eid on Monday amid worst circumstances with blood and dead bodies of their loved ones.

Most of the Arab, European, American and Canadian Muslims celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr on the same dates as the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
