The death toll reached to 13 as more people died after consuming poisonous liquor in Liaquatpur tehsil here.
The incident took place in Laiquatpur Tehsil where a citizen, named Moosa dealt in home-made liquor. People from six to seven villages used to buy liquor from his shop.
On Saturday night, more than a dozen people fell unconscious after taking liquor and were pronounced dead when taken to hospital. Apart from the 13 dead, at least 16 others were being treated at different hospital and some of them are stated to be in critical condition.
The dead also included four of the same family from Ghazi Mohallah.
