Multan- Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Javed Hashmi Sunday lashed out at the federal government for calling in Army in Islamabad under Article 245 of the Constitution.
“The government has made the Army controversial before people,” he said. The veteran politician said that if the government cannot manage even Islamabad, it should protect Model Town.
“Sharif brothers went to Jeddah, leaving us behind to rot in jails,” he said, referring to Saudi-brokered 10-year deal, under which Nawaz Sharif and his family moved to Saudi Arabia during Pervez Musharraf’s term. “We will fight this war against the government, not army,” he added.
Hashmi said PTI would contact other political parties for participation in the 'Azadi March' to be organized on August 14.
"People of the country were taking PTI Azadi March as a ray of hope for their future. He said, PTI had completed all arrangements for the March in Islamabad," he told journalists. He criticised the government on power crisis and other issues and urged the government to resolve loadshedding problem as soon as possible.
