Islamabad - A floral wreath was laid at the mausoleum of Captain Raja Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed on behalf of President Mamnoon Hussain by his military secretary to pay homage to the martyred captain on his martyrdom anniversary in Gujar Khan yesterday.

In his message, President Mamnoon Hussain said that the nation will always be indebted to its heroes who laid down their lives defending the motherland.

Paying tributes to Captain Raja Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed for valiantly defending his country, the President said that his act of chivalry will always inspire Pakistanis to foil the nefarious designs of the enemies of Pakistan and defeat their aggressive designs.

Meanwhile, a wreath laying ceremony was also held to pay homage to the brave son of soil, the first recipient of Nishan-e-Haider, Captain Muhammad sarwar Shaheed, who demonstrated indomitable courage and valour in defence of motherland and embraced martyrdom at Tilpatra (Azad Kashmir) in 1948. Brigadier Shahid Nazir and Brigadier Farrukh Waseem Khan, laid floral wreath and offered Fateha on behalf of the chief of army staff.
