DERA GHAZI KHAN-A case has been registered against the murder of a pet dog of MNA Sardar Awais Ahmed Leghari while the police allegedly torturing the accused on the MNA's order.

It was registered on the complaint of Asif, a resident of Chotti Zareen. Local people said that police had arrested two accused and shifted them to unknown place, where the accused are being brutally tortured by the police on the order of the MNA. Talking to The Nation, SDPO Jan Muhammad said that the case has been registered Under Section 429 of the Pakistan Penal Code for the alleged murder of the dog against accused Ch Habib, Farhan, Asad and four unidentified persons.

He shared that some days ago, Farhan, Asad and their companions went to the farmhouse of Awais Khan at Basti Jam for hunting but a team of wildlife which was already present there caught them and imposed fine.

On July 23, 2016, once again Farhan along with his companions went to Basti Jam and opened fire on the dog when it barked on them. He expressed disappointment over some false media reports which were misleading the people that police had registered a case Under Section 302. He said that nobody has been arrested now however investigation was under process.
