Call for awareness on Hepatitis Day

LAHORE   -  Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Dr Hasan Askari Friday said creating necessary awareness among masses about protection from hepatitis was crucial.

In his message on the World Hepatitis Day today, the chief minister said society would also have to play its role for eradicating hepatitis from society. He said collective efforts would have to be initiated to save the new generation from this fatal disease. "We could be protected from this fatal disease by adopting necessary precautionary measures as prevention is better than cure," the message said. The CM said that an effective awareness campaign should be launched for protection  from hepatitis and adoption of precautionary measures. "It is a demand of the day that the departments concerned should perform their duties as practical steps are required to overcome hepatitis," concluded the message. Condolence : Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of four persons of a family due to a fire in Islamabad. 

He extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family.

Also, Askari expressed condolence over the death of father of Irfan Qadir, former Attorney General of Pakistan.  In his condolence message, the chief minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.

Askari satisfied

Punjab cartekaer Chief Minister (CM) Dr Hasan Askari Rizvi Friday said the provincial government successfully held peaceful elections in the province.

In a statement issued here, he said effective monitoring helped maintain peace and law and order during general election 2018 in the province. The caretaker CM said conduct of free and fair elections was a challenge for the provincial government, but the task was achieved with the grace of Allah Almighty and the support of masses and institutions. Dr Askari said cooperation of masses was laudable, adding that it was good for stability and democracy in the country.

He said the caretaker government stood by its oath of neutrality and impartiality. He said the government proved its efficiency through impeccable arrangements for general election 2018.
