Bilawal Zardari visits Amjad Sabri family; dodges questions about Sindh govt's performance

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari today visited the residence of slain Sufi singer Amjad Farid Sabri and expressed condolence with his family.

Strict security arrangements were put in place ahead of arrival of Bilawal Bhutto in the area.

Large numbers of police, Rangers and BDS personnel were deployed in Liaquatabad leading to the residence of Amjad Sabri. Bomb Disposal Squad was also called to search the area before the arrival of PPP leader

While talking to media persons, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari smartly deflected a query of a reporter towards his own provincial government regarding probe headway into two high-profile attacks this month – murder of renowned qawwal Amjad Sabri and abduction of Sindh High Court chief justice’s son.

As the PPP leader was leaving the place, reporters clustered around him to seek his views on government’s measures for controlling law and order situation.

A Reporter asked Bilawal about investigators headway into probe of two attacks. In response, Bilawal quickly pointed towards provincial home minister Sohail Anwar Sial who was standing beside him and said: “Jawaab Do Sindh Government, Jawaab Do.” (Answer it Sindh govt, answer it!).

The PPP leader’s reply came as a surprise to the journalists standing around while others reacted with laughter. In the meanwhile, Home Minister Sial answered some questions by the media.
