LAHORE - Police on Thursday claimed to have smashed two gangs of motorcycle-lifters by arresting their four members involved in three dozen incidents of street crimes. A Lahore police spokesman said that the Millat Park police had also recovered five stolen motorcycles, mobile phones and other valuables from their possession. SP Iqbal Town police division Touseef Haider constituted special police teams headed by SPO Samanabad Shaista Nadeem to track down the criminals involved in street crimes. During preliminary investigations, the arrested thieves confessed to more than 36 incidents of street crimes that they had committed in Millat Park, Hajnarwal, Samanabad, Sanda, Iqbal Town, Ichra, Raiwind City, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal police areas. The arrested bandits were identified as Roxen Masih, Fareed, Tanvir, and Pervaiz alias Paji. Police are conducting roads to arrest the other members of the gangs.
