CCBPL’s facilities for staff
LAHORE (PR): In line with its policy of empowering its people, Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited (CCBPL) recently constructed and brought into operation two state-of-the-art Competency Development Centers (CDCs), in Karachi and Lahore respectively. These facilities will serve to enhance skills and capabilities of CCBPL employees through vocational education to be imparted by world renowned organization, City & Guilds of the U.K.
The CDCs in Karachi and Lahore became operational on March 5 and March 7, respectively. These facilities will help CCPBL employee’s gain valuable learning of international standards, which reflect the company’s commitment to its people.
CCBPL’s Director of Human Resources, Amara Bashir, said, “This is an initiative that is the first of its kind, as it is a great milestone for CCBPL.”

HVACR event from April 3
LAHORE (PR): Pakistan Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning, Refrigeration (HVACR) Society would arrange a 3-day 21st exhibition on April 3, 4 and 5 here at Expo Centre.
Addressing the media here at Lahore Press Club on Thursday, Chairman HVACR Society Lahore Muhammad Boota said that HVACR has always put in place positive measures for the development and prosperity of the country.
He said that the purpose of exhibition was to bring advancement in the field of air-conditioning, to strengthen national economy, create new opportunities of employment and provide healthy environment to the people.
The chairman said country could be put on the way to progress and prosperity through new investment by the foreign investors which could also help in expansion of industries in the country. He added that foreign investors could also suggest the new dimensions in the field of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, heating and others.
Exhibition Convener Safdar Ali Mughal said that about 250 national and international organizations would set up stalls and introduce latest models and tools of air conditioning while all the arrangements have been finalized to make the exhibition successful.
He said that the exhibition would play an important role by gathering national and international experts at one place which would help the participants of the conference to explore the new opportunities.

Seminar at Bahria University
KARACHI (PR): The 2nd National Maritime Seminar was held on Thursday to discuss the policy and regulatory framework governing the maritime sector of Pakistan. National Centre for Maritime Policy Research (NCMPR), a constituent unit of Bahria University, organized this event at the Bahria University Karachi Campus. Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah HI(M) and Chairman Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) M Siddique Memon graced the occasion as chief guests.
The seminar was attended by officials from government, Pakistan Navy, academia and maritime industry.

KASB Bank launches ‘Let’s Own Pakistan’ programme
KARACHI (PR): KASB Bank launched ‘Lets Own Pakistan Programme’ on Pakistan Day. This program is launched to create awareness among peers and staff members about responsibilities of a citizen towards society we live in.
To begin with KASB Bank conducted a beach cleaning activity on March 23, 2014 at Sea View Karachi to celebrate Pakistan Resolution Day with a resolution & commitment that we will no longer accept garbage at our beaches & in our vicinity and make an immediate impact on our natural world by sharing our enthusiasm and passion to the society.
The purpose of this event was also to come together as a team, and build a socially responsible culture within the organization.
President & CEO Mr. Bilal Mustafa and top management were present during this activity to contribute and support the bank staff for their efforts.

PEL organises event
LAHORE (PR): PEL always believes in providing better working environment for its employees and good living standards for their families. A lot of healthy activities, events, training programs and other CSR activities are carried out through the year for this purpose. Taking this further, this time PEL arranged Pakistan Day Family Festival/ Earth hour on 23rd of March at PEL factory Lahore.
PEL top management officials including Director Operations Murad Saigol, Managing Director Haroon.A.Khan, G.M. Sales & Marketing Iftikhar Ahmed were the chief guests for the event.

Earth Hour at Roots Schools
ISLAMABAD (PR): Roots Millennium Schools has consistently been involved in celebrating the Earth Hour over the years. This year’s event was inaugurated on Thursday at RMS Wahid Campus F-10/2, Islamabad.
 Celebrity guests including Mishi Khan (actor/anchor/ social activist), Urwa and Mawra (TV personalities/VJ’s/ models) showed up to support the cause and addressed the audience at Roots Millennium Schools Wahid Campus F-10/2, Islamabad.

McDonald’s signs MoU
LAHORE (PR): An MoU signing ceremony was organized at McDonald’s Fortress Stadium, Lahore to establish a long term partnership between National TB Control Program and McDonald’s. The MoU was signed by the Assistant Director Marketing McDonald’s, Mr Raza and the National Manager of the Program, Dr Ejaz Qadeer. The Assistant Director Marketing McDonald’s ensured full support for helping the program in its fight against TB.
 He committed that all the outlets of the food chain will be branded with awareness messages regarding TB during World TB Day and a special corner will also be provided for placing informational material on TB.
