LHWs protest killing of colleague in Peshawar

PESHAWAR - Scores of Lady Health Workers on Thursday staged a protest against the killing of their colleague by some unidentified armed men in Daudzai area.
The protesting LHWs led by Ayesha Hassan gathered outside the Press Club here on Thursday. They were holding placards and shouted slogans against the police for not providing protection to paramedic staff. They said that the provincial government and police are helpless as the paramedic staff is being attacked, but the law enforcing agencies could do nothing to protect the dutiful paramedics. 
Talking to media on the occasion, their representative Ayesha Hassan said that some armed persons kidnapped Salma Farooq a few days back in Muhammadzai area, and later brutally killed her in the Daudzai area. She said that the deceased was the mother of five children and had enmity with no one.
The protesting LHWs asked the govt to arrest the culprits forthwith and ensure their protection. They warned the govt of boycotting all their duties for an indefinite period if the culprits were not brought to the justice.
