Mother of two robbed of life

LAHORE  - Dacoits killed a mother of two inside a car during road robbery attempt in Shahdara, police said on Thursday.
Ayesha Azeem, 28, along with her husband and two children was learning driving when two motorcyclists intercepted the car on Wandala Road and asked the lady driver at gunpoint to stop vehicle on the left lane.
The panicked woman lost her control over the car when she attempted to flee. One of the bandits opened fire on the woman who sustained a bullet in the chest and died on the spot. The robbers fled from the scene. Police reached the spot when the robbers had escaped. The police removed the body to the morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, police claimed that one of the fleeing bandits died in a road mishap a few hours after the killing. The deceased identified as Salman, a resident of Gowalmandi, was rushed to the Lahore General Hospital where he was pronounced as brought dead.
Investigators say they believe the bandit was shifted to the hospital by his accomplice, identified as Jibran, but he died in the way. The police have also arrested Jibran in connection with the murder.
 A lady identified as Asma Bibi also reached the hospital and identified Salman as her husband. The arrested bandit told the police that they were fleeing after the failed robbery attempt when their two-wheeler smashed into a vehicle. Further investigation was underway.
ROBBED: Robbers held up a housewife at gunpoint and snatched away her purse, containing cash and gold ornaments worth hundreds of thousands of rupees in the Iqbal Town police area.
Resident of Clifton Colony, Imran Rashid, told the police that he parked his car outside a bakery and went inside.
In the meantime, two motorcyclists held up her family at gunpoint and snatched away the bag. The police have registered a case against unidentified robbers and are investigating with no arrest made yet.
