ISLAMABAD - Thirteen international women squash players will be seen in action in the 2nd $10,000 Bahria Town International Women Squash Championship 2105, to be played at Safari Club, Bahria Town with qualifying round matches starting from March 30-31, while the main round will start from April 1.
A total of 40 players have sent their entries, only one Pakistani player Maria Toor Pakai is in the main round, while others have to play qualifying round to earn right to play in the main round. Defending champion Indian wonder girl Sachika Ingale will also play in the qualifiers and try her luck to ensure her berth in the main round. Maria Toor has already arrived from Canada to participate in the event.
Siyoli Waters of South Africa, who is world number 34 is the top seed of the event, while Nadine Shahin of Egypt, world number 41, is second seed, Liy Tsz Ling of Honk Kong, world number 55, third seed, Cheyna Tucker of South Africa, world number 61, is fourth seed, Rachel Arnold of Malaysia, world number 66, fifth seed, Linda Hruzikova of Slovenia, world number 68, sixth seed and Maria Toor of Pakistan, world number 71, is seventh seed.
Bahria Town has taken keen interest to ensure international players’ participation in the event which shows their belief and hard work, which can help revive international women squash in Pakistan.
