Hello everyone! Today I wish to share my adventures of a fulfilled week with my family which was so far the best summer holidays experience one could ever have. Our first day of the week began on 17th July which was my younger brother’s birthday and a very good excuse to gather all my cousins under one roof. We played a lot of games including passing the parcel where elders joined us in our activities. On the next day, we went to Minar-e-Pakistan, Badshahi Mosque and Shahi Kila (Shahi Fort). Our day concluded with our visit to the gigantic Emporium Mall where we played and did window shopping. We ate different flavours of ice-cream yummy dahi bhallay, channa chart etc.

On 19th July, we planned for a slightly far sight. We went to Jallo Park to see the beautiful butterfly house and lovely ponds and waterfalls. We ate our lunch on a small tree house near a beautiful waterfall. After lunch and having our full of the park, we proceeded towards Wagha Border. There we witnessed the passionate and enthusiastic parade which warmed our hearts with patriotic zeal. There we met tourists from different countries including China and America. We took pictures with them and they told us about their great experience in Pakistan. They found Pakistan safe and people with great hospitality. Our next stop for the day was Shalimaar Garden. We read about the glorious history of that park and explored and drank cold drinks and went straight home. We got ready and head for the restaurant Dirvesh for dinner. At Dirvesh we found some Sikhs who were there to have Pakistani cuisine.

It was nearly 11:00 at night when we headed for home. I jumped on my bed and slept. The next day we went to our chachi’s (paternal aunt) home and enjoyed playing there. We came back around 9pm at night and headed for our beds. We were expecting a tight schedule on our next day as we had to wake up early in the morning and head start for Kalarkahar. We stayed there for one night. On our way back we visited Nankana Sahib. On the last day of the week, we visited Packages Mall and Imperial Mall, Hyperstar and Alfatha. There we enjoyed Fun factory and bounce as well. Last seven days were the best days in my life  thanks to my mammoo (maternal aunt) for visiting Lahore, for he was the one for whom we planned all these activities.
