ISLAMABAD - The General Council and Executive Committee of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) will meet today (Wednesday) at a local hotel to discuss future programs for the promotion of the game at gross root level. An official of Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) told The Nation that Choudhry Muhammad Yaqoob, chairman PVF would chair both the meetings while all other members including Abdul Khaliq Khan(president PVF), Major (Retd) Mohammad Afzal (secretary PVF), Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmad, Zafar Abbas Lak, Rana Shujaat Ali, Khalid Mehmood, Ghulam Hassan, Mohammad Baksh Javed, Shoaib Ahmad Usmani, Mohammad Shahid Kamal, Mohammad Khan Durrani, Rashid Mehmood Butt, Mukhtar Ahmad Khan, Nisar Ahmad Siddiqi, Haji Mohammad Ashraf, Mohammad Iqbal Khan, Khalid Waqar, Najma Anwer and the heads of all other units and departments would take part in the meeting. The House will also review the one-year performance of the federation. Also, various committees will also be constituted for future programmes to promote the volleyball in the remote areas of the country to hunt the talent. A committee will be formulated to look after the affairs of club volleyball championship. After the meetings, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob will brief the media about the decision which will be taken in both the houses.
