ISLAMABAD - Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took suo moto notice of three Baloch nationalist leaders murder on Wednesday. They had been brutally killed on April 8, 2009 in Turbat area of Balochistan after being abducted. Chief Justice Iftikhar M Ch while taking sue motu action of the incident directed the Chief Secretary Balochistan to submit detailed report of the probe into the killings. The murdered Baloch leaders were Ghulam Muhammad Baloch (45), Chairman Baloch National Movement, Lala Munir Baloch (50), General Secretary Baloch National Front and Sher Muhammad Baloch (35), Vice President Balochistan Republican Party. They had been kidnapped from the office of their lawyer, Kachkol Ali, after District Session Court granted them bail in shooting and bomb blast cases. The murder of the leaders had sparked riots across the province and claimed lives of several innocent people. It is pertinent to mention that Ghulam Muhammad Baloch was a member of Baloch Watan Dost Committee, set up for the safe release of kidnapped UN aid worker, John Solecki.
