Ten-man Lahore Blues earn 2-0 win

LAHORE - Spearhead Haroon slammed hat-trick in Peshawar Blue's 9-1 while Naveed Sadiq-led under-strength Lahore Blue turned the frame as seven more matches were decided in the PFF U-16 Football Youth Cup at various centres on Tuesday night. The Chaman-Quetta Yellow affair produced exciting 3-3 draw at Railway Ground, opposite Railway Station, Quetta. Host Quetta slammed all their three goals in space of eight minutes with striker Faisal scoring twice in the 42nd, 48th minute while Jahanzeb did the job in the 50th minute. Chaman landed leveler in the 70th minute through winger Sufyan's goal after midfielder Saddam (15th min) and winger Rizwan (35th min) had netted for them Karachi Yellow inflicted 2-0 win over Jacobabad at Peoples Sports Complex, Mauripur Road, Lyari Town. Striker Abdullah opened the scoring on the stroke of interval while winger Naveed Ullah doubled the margin in the seven minute of second session. Lahore Blue edged out Lahore White 2-0 despite playing the game with 75 minutes as Referee Muhammad Irshad had given right full Kamran marching order in the 15th minute at Batapur Ground, G.T.Road, Batapur, Lahore. Lahore Blue, largely composed of Garhi Shahu United Academy's players, took the lead despite the set-back through Ireland-born Zohaib Hasan. Midfielder Zargan made it 2-0 for Naveed Sadiq-led team in the 48 minute. Islamabad edged out Azad Jammu & Kashmir 2-0 at Quaid-i-Azam Ground, Islamabad. Striker M.Imtiaz opened scoring in the 16th minute while full back Irfan Ullah added other four minutes later. Peshawar Blue cut Peshawar Yellow to size 9-1 at Qayyum Stadium, near Saddar, Bara Road, Peshawar Cantt. The hero of the match was striker Haroon who struck thrice in the 60th, 63rd and 67th minute. Blue led 4-0 at interval. Naveed Shah registered two goals in the 30th, 35th minute while other goal getters were Ahmed (22nd min), Zohaib (27th min) and Mansoor (65th min). Blue, who struck consolation goal through Abdul Salam in the 72nd minute, also provided a goal to rivals when their defender Saleem turned the ball past his own keeper. Bannu thrashed Peshawar Green 4-0 at Lala Dawood Stadium, Wazir Bagh, Peshawar City. All the fours emerged in the first half with goal-getters being Zeeshan (13 min), Rashid (19 min), Asad (29th min) and Tauseef (33rd min). Faisalabad Red drew 1-1 with Sahiwal at Al-Tahir Football Ground, Chak 68 GB, Faisalabad. Visitors Sahiwal landed opener in the 14th minute through Asif but winger Zeeshan drew level in the 48th minute.
