LAHORE – The country is currently being divided into more and more provinces and, if this plan materialises, the government would have to re-designate several states – such as Qalat, Swat, Khairpur and others – that were affiliated with Pakistan at the time of independence as provinces.

TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-e-Pakistan Trust (NPT) Chairman Majid Nizami expressed these views while addressing an ideological training workshop of teachers held under the aegis of NPT at Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam on Sunday. NPT Vice Chairman Professor Dr Rafique Ahmed and Secretary Shahid Rasheed were also present on the occasion.

“The Punjab government despite repeated requests by NPT has not make Nazaria-e-Pakistan part of syllabus from primary to master’s level,” Majid Nizami maintained. However, he said the Punjab government had started ideological training of teachers.

TheNation Editor-in-Chief stressed upon the teachers to be aware of Pakistan Movement, objectives of Pakistan’s creation and the sacrifices rendered for getting this homeland.

He said Quaid-e-Azam had termed Kashmir as jugular vein of Pakistan because of its significance of being the origin of rivers. Majid Nizami said Quaid-e-Azam had directed the then Commander in Chief to enter forces into Kashmir but the commander had refused and asked Quaid-e-Azam that his chief commander was in Dehli and he would only obey to his chief. After that Mr Nizami said he had requested all the generals of Pakistan Army from Gen Ayub to Musharraf to obey the directions of Quaid-e-Azam and made forces entered into Kashmir.

“How can a man live when his jugular vein is in possession of someone and especially when the occupant is his eternal enemy,” said Nizami, adding that India had never accepted Pakistan wholeheartedly.

He said Satanic Alliance of India, Israel and America had been formed and the whole Pakistani nation would have to be united to confront the challenges being faced by the country. He said young generation was being spoiled by the cultural invasion of India and time had come to face the challenges of the enemies.

Signalling towards Ghaffar Khan as (Sarhadi Gandhi), Nizami said his sons were proudly declaring Gandhi their great leader. They had excluded the pictures of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal from their educational syllabus, he added. Universities were being esatablished in the name of Sarhadi Gandhi. All it was being happened in a country which was established in the name of Islam, Nizami lamented.

The NPT chairman said formation of provinces like Hazara, South Punjab, Bahawalpur, Muhajir was under discussion on different quarters which was not fair.

Pointing out towards conditions of Muslims in Kashmir, Palestine and other countries Nizami said: “Thank God, we are a nuclear power and as per teachings of the Holy Quran we should be ready any time to fight with enemy.” Nizami said India was constructing several dams on rivers coming out from Kashmir to Pakistan and he had repeatedly asked Pakistani rulers to hit these dams with missile. Had Pakistan not been formed we would have been slaves of Hindus, he said.

Majid Nizami further maintained that a governor in a meeting asked him why he (Nizami) mentioned of war with India repeatedly in his speeches. “I reply him that Almighty Allah has ordered us to be ready against enemy all the time,” Nizami added.

Professor Rafique Ahmad and Shahid Rasheed also spoke on the occasion.
