KARACHI - Pakistan People’s Party leader Fauzia Wahab has been shifted to intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Karachi, after she developed complications following a surgery.Fauzia, who had earlier undergone a surgery two days ago in which her gall bladder was removed, was admitted to Orthopaedic and Medical Institute Saturday night. According to PPP media cell, the doctors have put her on a ventilator, saying next 48 hours are very critical as they prepare to carry out another operation.Ali Wahab, son of Fauzia Wahab, said President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have also contacted their family members to inquire about her health.He said she was on a ventilator as her condition remained critical and appealed to the people to pray for her early recovery.Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has expressed his concern on the ailment of Fauzia Wahab. He prayed for her good health and speedy recovery.
