LAHORE - Mashkoor Raza’s solo painting exhibition concluded at the Revivers Galleria in Gulberg here on Sunday after continuing for a fortnight and attracting a large number of art lovers and collectors.
According to the curator of Revivers Galleria, Sara Anjum, this was Karachi based artist Mashkoor Raza’s second solo exhibition at her gallery since January 2011, when 38 of his paintings were put on display. She said during his last exhibition almost all of his paintings were sold, which was quite a record and she was genuinely proud of it.
She said that she was encouraged that art lovers and collectors had shown great interest since the exhibition was formally inaugurated on May 14 in an impressive ceremony.
On the inaugural evening of the exhibition, a book written by known art columnist and critic Nadeem Zuberi titled “Mashkoor Raza’s Journey” was also launched and was well received by the artists, and the art collectors and other guest.
