BADIN  – National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza has said that her decision against referring the case of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to the election commission is based on requirements of justice.She was bitterly criticised by the opposition at her ruling, saying she did not act impartially as required by her office and merely followed the dictates of her party boss President Asif Ali Zardari.Addressing a gathering in Badin‚ Fehmida said that as speaker‚ she has made all decisions with full honesty and according to the constitution. "I am satisfied with my ruling," she said while was speaking at a ceremony to distribute buffaloes among 100 rain-affected women in Tando Bhago with the assistance of United Arab Emirates Red Crescent.The speaker said the democratic government of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has undertaken a record development schemes in the constituency which included water supply, electricity and gas projects. While hundreds of schemes in education and health sectors have also been completed, she added.Fehmida said the government worked hard to help the people affected by the devastating rains, and efforts for their rehabilitation will continue. She said the PPP government will not disappoint the people, adding that the people of Badin will support the  Pakistan People’s Party and reject the opportunists once again.
