LAHORE: The Lahore High Court yesterday issued notice to the federal government in another petition seeking directions to investigate allegations of Panama leaks against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members.

Justice Shahid Waheed of the LHC passed the order and adjourned further hearing until June 8.  A lawyer-petitioner Hassan Qayyum filed the petition and submitted that Prime Minister was involved in transferring public money out of Pakistan. He alleged that he established offshore companies.

The petitioner stated that public money was invested in offshore companies and it was also not shifted abroad through legal means. The petitioner said PM concealed facts from the public and thus, he could not hold membership of the national legislative assembly.–Staff Reporter
