LAHORE - Lahore High Court Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif on Saturday took suo moto notice against murder of a eunuch allegedly due to firing by Allama Iqbal Town police. The chief justice observed, The eunuchs under the law of country enjoy equal protection like other citizens and no discriminatory treatment can be meted out to them. The CJ directed the SP Investigations Allama Iqbal Town to appear before the court on November 30 along with complete record of the case. The CJ also directed the advocate general Punjab to ensure compliance with this order as well as to assist the court in the matter on the next date of hearing. According to the news published in different sections of press a eunuch, Allama Iqbal Town Police, allegedly murdered Amir, and later termed it an accident.
