LAHORE - Seeds of Peace on Saturday organised 'Annual Inter School Dramatics Festival 2010 at Al-Hamra. Ten teams from different schools including Beacon House School System, Lahore Grammar School, Salamat School System and The Trust School, Convent of Jesus and Mary and the Sacred Heart Convent participated in the drama competition. Each team performed a 15-minute skit on the theme of 'Shades of Grey. The students took different issues like intersect marriage, hopelessness and its solution and extremism by presented their view of the 'Grey Shades on the said issues. The students of National Collage of Arts also gave a guest performance on the occasion. Hundred of audiences encouraged the young students of grade 9-11 for their wonderful performances. The Drama Festival was won by SICAS whereas Trust School became runner up for this year. The best male performance trophy was given to Awais Ahmed whereas Shanavar was titled as the best female performer. The Public Affairs Officer of the US Consulate, Lahore Jennifer A Larson distributed the prizes among the winner teams and students. President Seeds of Peace Sajjad Ahmed thanked the audiences, their parents and sponsors of the programme. He emphasised on the fact that prevailing environment of extremism in the society makes it even necessary for peace activists to encourage peace related activities and provide our youth an opportunity to express themselves. The drama management team included Tooba Fatima, Rafay Aziz, Mehreen Arif, Jahanzaib Shoaib, Taha Tariq, Moeez Ahmed and other seed graduates.
