LAHORE - Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohsin Raza on Saturday disposed of Punjab University Prof Dr Iftikhar Balochs interim bail petition after Muslim Town Police submitted its investigation report of harassment cases filed against the professor for harassing two female staffers, as the police declared Iftikhar innocent in the report. According to case details, Muslim Town Police had booked Prof Dr Iftikhar Baloch in two cases for allegedly sexually harassing and threatening two female staffers. Later, he was suspended by the Punjab University administration. On Saturday, police submitted its investigation report before the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohsin Raza. Police report said that on the day of incident of allegedly harassing female staffers, Prof Dr IftikharBaloch was not present in the City as he was in Multan for helping out the flood affected people there. The Professor was officially on leave and his telephone record further confirmed Iftikhars presence in the said area, the report added. Report said that there was not even single evidence available against the accused and declared him innocent. It is pertinent mentioning here that Baloch had secured interim bail for proving himself innocent before the court. Later, the court on Saturday disposed of his (Baloch) interim bail petition.
