There was no loss of life due to crash of a Russian cargo plane in Dalmia area in small hours of Sunday. A spokesman of Pakistan Navy, Commander Salman Ali, told APP that the cargo plane came down in a ground of Naval Colony near Dalmia. He said that there were some under-construction houses but no one was residing there.The wreckage of the plane scattered in over half a kilometre area.Commander Salman Ali said that there was no loss of life on the ground. The fire was brought under control. He said that the battalion of Pakistan Navy cordoned off the area.The electric supply of the residential area was cut off as a precautionary measure to prevent any fire. Earlier, an official of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) stated that a Russian cargo plane with a crew of eight left Karachi for Khartoum, Sudan, came down soon after taken off.
