LAHORE The luminaries of the 4th Indigo Golf Event turned out to be Omer Salamat in the gross section and Asadullah Khan in the net category out of a huge entry of 140 golfers at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club. The golfers were hoping to play well and seek honors and fetch admirable prizes. Not many of them returned satisfied and had to be content with mere participation and some ragged scorecards a little too full of bogies and double bogies. Asadullah Khan, a slim and fit golfer had a dream round with barely any pitfalls and all through the 18 holes on a tough and challenging golf course he was accurate off the tee and rythmic around the greens, every chip looking crisp and rewarding. His net score for the 18 holes was 65,a reflection of his excellent work during the tournament. The runners up slot in the net section was annexed by Waheed Aslam, his net card of 69, glory oriented. Tariq Mushtaq ended up third carding a net score of 69. Top performers of the gross section were Omer Salamat, gross 80, Azfar Hassan 81 and Imran Farooq 82. At the conclusion of the Indigo Golf Event Rashid Khan, CEO Mobilink awarded prizes to winners in a grand ceremony attended by Ahmad Sadiq, Irfan Akram of Mobilink, Ramzan Sheikh, CEO, Royal Palm, participating golfers and Mobilink executives.
