MULTAN - Former foreign minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Tuesday that the PPP and her ally parties were equally responsible for the crises being faced by the country today.

Talking to delegations of PTI workers and leaders here at his residence, he added that the announcement made by Imran Khan in which he categorically declared that the PTI would not make any alliance with any coalition party of the government proved that the PTI had no interested in rule. “Rather the PTI wants to get the country and nation rid of family politics, lawlessness and crises,” he added.

He said that the PTI was the only party that held party elections. He added that Imran Khan had become a symbol of change and revolution in Pakistan. He said that the masses wanted justice and the PTI was determined to provide justice to the citizens. 

He said that national institutions clashed with one another because of poor policies and failure of the government while a severe sense of insecurity prevailed among general public because of deteriorating law and order situation. He maintained that despite suspension of mobile phone service, ban on motorbike riding and other facilities, bomb blasts were proof of government’s failure. Strongly refuting the reports regarding his quitting party, he said that political orphans launched a baseless propaganda campaign against him after getting frightened from PTI’s popularity. He said that the nation badly needed a leader like Imran Khan and party like PTI.

WASILA-E-TAALEEM PROGRAMME: MPA Malik Amir Dogar disclosed on Tuesday that the federal government was going to launch Wasila-e-Taaleem programme across the country to offer free education to deserving and shining students.

Addressing a seminar on UNO Child Rights Conventions and Our Role organised by SPARK Childs Rights Committee and CACL Punjab, he added that the government had declared 2013 the year of children and approval of free education bill by the assembly was a good omen. He added that bringing the children up in a good manner was our religious and national obligation and the incumbent government adopted practical measures to offer less expensive yet quality education to the kids. He stressed upon the parents to educate their children so that the challenges being faced by the country could be met with successfully. 

Speaking on the occasion, Shahid Mehmood Ansari, Mian Naeem Arshad, Aurangzeb Khan Baloch and others said that Pakistan was one of 150 signatory countries of the world that had signed Child Rights Convention and now we were bound to implement the convention in Pakistan. He said that all government and non-governmental organizations should push their endeavours hard for creating awareness on child rights among the masses. The regretted that the children were being used for terrorism, adding that it was sheer violation of their rights.

They demanded the government to announce Rs. 200 scholarship for each student up to matriculation level and set up a separate ministry for kids at federal level.
