PESHAWAR - National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday obtained 10 days physical remand of three accused persons allegedly involved in illegal sale and purchase of land in Mardan and Swabi thus depriving a number of people of their hard earned money.

The three accused Muhammad Munir, Asad Javed and Patwari Akbar Khan were arrested by the NAB team headed by Assistant Director Muhammad Akmal. Total looted money grabbed by the accused persons comes to more than Rs22 million. They promised with people to provide them property but neither they handed over the land nor returned the money to the affectees. Taking cognisance of the complaints, the NAB authorised inquiry / investigations. The inquiry established their involvement in cheating public at large. Consequently they were arrested and the Court granted the physical remand.

It merits mentioning here that various other groups are illegally operating in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and established fake housing societies. General public is advised to be aware of such gangs to avoid any embarrassing situation.
