The Punjab Teachers Union (PTU) Khushab district demanded introduction of uniform education system and revival of syllabus up to intermediate level. The teaching community through a resolution passed in a meeting of the PTU, demanded time-scale promotion of teachers of all schools and colleges beyond and discrimination. They urged for the establishment of women universities at district level and Arabic education as a compulsory subject up to Matric level.  The meeting was held in chair of PTU Khushab District President Malik Aman Ullah Joyia here the other day. Speaking on the occasion, he pledged to represent the teachers at all forum to highlight for their problems.

In the meeting besides others, PTU Khushab Tehsil President Ehsan Leghari, local leaders Malik Liaquat Ali Kilayra, Muhammad Farooq, Muhammad Zubair Awan and former PTU Noorpur Thal President M Ramzan participated.

Ulema role for harmony on Ashura lauded: AC Ch Ehsan Ullah has paid tributes to Ulema for religious harmony and intacting an atmosphere of brotherhood on occasion of Muharramul Haram throughout the tehsil.

Talking to a delegation of local Ulema, he said that the country was passing through a critical juncture and terrorism had engulfed it. The AC said that in the present circumstances there was a greater need for brotherhood and unity as the situation demands that the entire nation should unite on one platform. He said that religious scholars should play an active role for maintaining religious harmony and law and order in the country. On the occasion, the ulema assured the AC full cooperation in this regard.

 The delegation was comprised of Maulana Abdur Razzaq, Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Maulana Raja Masoodur Rehman and Maulana Khaleequl Hasan.
